On the cusp of Hogmanay and looking to the fresh start of the new year ahead, we think about the stunning collection of iconic tartans from the beautiful country of Scotland that we have to thank for our new years eve celebrations.
Bringing together a wide array of multicoloured winter floristry, velvet-textured flowers of crimson red celosia and cream pussy willow branches are combrined with an unusually deep red variety of ranunculus and rose bud clusers. Then centred around the Scottish national flower of the thistle which offers the perfect graduation into sapphire blue winter berries, cross sections of blooms in royal purples, bright greens and splashes of yellow run throughout the design in various rich textured flowers to offer unexpectedly bold splashes of colour- just like those we find in the iconic checks that are defined by the centuries of British history each tartan has come to represent.
